I am currently writing, recording and producing the score for a pilot episode of the Danish series "I Frodes Hoved" (eng.: This Mans Mind). It is a comedy show aimed at teenagers and young adults. The story is told in a highly imaginative way using stunning visual effects, stop-motion animation and cross-cuts between the main characters inner thoughts and the outside world.

Variations in White. New piece for two pianos written for Jonathan Powell and Jørgen Hald Nielsen. First performance on September 20th at the Academy of Music in Esbjerg, Denmark.

Currently I am writing the score for the zombie shortfilm "Sulten" (Hungry) directed by Christian Kampmann Olsen. This project will be part of a compilation of 4 shortfilms, which will be released on DVD and distributed by Mis Label in Denmark. The DVD will be entitled "Instinct".

"Into the Sky" (Ind i himlen) selected for the international film festival "BornShort". The film will be screened on Aug 28th 2009.

New commission from Copenhagen Art Ensemble. I will be writing a piece for 8 instruments and 4 channel audio. First performance on December 28th in Malmö Konsthal, Sweden.

Second Life. Today”snespirende” was played in the HD Artists Music Hall in Second Life. Composer Tim Risher runs a weekly show called Listening to New Music in which he presents new works from composers from around the world. The theme for this weeks show was ambient music

Currently I am working on the score for ”Into the sky” – a short film written by Camilla Nicole Bitsch and directed by Christian Juul Mikkelsen. The film will be premiered on October 4th at “Øst for Paradis” (East of Eden) in Aarhus, Denmark. More info and music samples will follow shortly.

”Undertow/everflow” to be performed at Nordic Music Days 2008 in Helskinki. This year the theme of the festival is “Music + 1” – which, for my pieces, means adding a musical puppet show. The concert will be done in collaboration with students and teachers of the Turku Polytechnic.

"Soundmapping the genes". Translation of DNA-codes into music. I have been involved in this project for a while now, and finally, on May 7th at the Academy of Music in Esbjerg, Denmark, we will be presenting our work. "Human X-Linked" and "20 proteins across 5 time points" are both electroacoustic pieces of mine, which focus on specific mappings of the DNA code into rhythm and frequency.

Polish premiere of "Body on Board" at the Poznan Spring Festival 2008. Curated by composer Lidia Zielinska, the concert will present electroacoustic works by some of the leading Polish composers as well as guest artists from abroad.

The New York Miniaturist Ensemble will be performing the US premiere of “Six Miniatures” in a concert on March 31th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Manhattan, New York.

”Perhaps Spring” had its Russian premiere in the Glazunov Concert Hall at the Academy of Music in St. Petersburg. Two days later it was performed in Catherine’s Palace in Pushkin. The performances were part of the 7th International Conservatory Festival in St. Petersborg. Click below for photo.

"Halo". New piano piece written for Haydn Dickenson. The first performance will take place at The Space Arts Centre, London, UK, on September 14th.

Started working on the score for Jonathan Elsborgs short film “No. 13”. The film is set in a post apocalyptic world in which the law of the jungle rules. The score will be all electronic soundscapes and lo-fi field recordings.

New piece finished: “feather” for voice-flute and guitar. This work was commissioned by Ingeborg Christophersen & Jonas Hoeyrup with funds provided by the Danish Art Council. First performance will take place on July 16th in Loenne Kirke in Denmark.

“Grain” – for amplified snaredrum and live video projection - has been chosen for Nordic Music Days 2007 in Norrköping, Sweden. The piece will be performed at the final concert on September 1st.

Curious Chamber Players has included “surrounded” in the program for their Nordic Tour 2007. The concerts will take place from April 8th to April 16th in venues in Stockholm, Helsinki, Oslo, Göteborg, Malmö and Copenhagen.

Gahrn Ensemble has been invited to play at the "International Festival of New Music Off.On" in Poznan, Poland. 2 of my pieces will be performed – Grain and the first performance of a new piece for voice, percussion and piano. The festival will take place in Autumn 2007.

Just started working on a new piece for guitar and CD. The piece has been commissioned by Kristian Nohr, and will be premiered by him at his Debut Concert in Spring 2007. The program will consist of H.W Henze´s Royal Winter Music in the first part and my piece in the second part. I expect a duration of approx. 20-25 minutes.

“The Chain” (Marta Kocon, viola, and Joanna Stroz, percussion) has commissioned a new piece for their upcoming concert in Vor Frue Kirke, Odense, the 4th of November.

First performance of “grain” for amplified snaredrum and live video projection. The piece is written for percussionist Michael Bjaerre, and will be part of his “Percussion and Media” concert program.

TONESPACEfestival 2006. I am curator and director of this 3-day festival for sonic-art and contemporary classical music. The main character of the festival is the Danish “grandmother of electronic music”, Else Marie Pade. TONESPACEfestival presents electroacustic concerts, remix-cafes, installations, an ambisonic listening venue and an open laptop jam.

I have been selected to participate in the UNM 2006 in Copenhagen. (UNM is an annual festival for young composers from the Nordic countries.) The festival will take place from August 26th – September 1st .

First performance of my new piece “negatives”. Commissioned by Esbjerg Ensemble, the piece will be played as part of a cross-media exhibition/concert centred around the Danish painter Otto Frello. The project involves about 100 school-kids playing their own compositions, video- and computer projection as well as a huge labyrinth setting - working as the framework - in which the audience will be guided through. The event will take place in Varde, DK.
